Announced plans to restructure ministries to enhance effectiveness.

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has sworn in six new commissioners, who were recently confirmed by the state House of Assembly.

The appointees are Professor Ogbonnaya Uche, Mr. David Kalu, Kingsley Chibueze Nwokocha, Dr. Uwaoma Ukandu, Dr. Queen Ijeoma Aghukwa, and Ubochi Goodluck Chinedu.

In his address, Otti emphasized that the appointments were made based on merit rather than the usual practice of appointing loyalists.

He urged the new commissioners to work towards improving the lives of Abia residents and assured them of his support. The governor also warned against internal conflicts and reiterated his administration’s commitment to combating corruption. Additionally, he announced plans for a dynamic restructuring of the ministries to enhance their effectiveness.
