Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State announced plans to dissolve the State Executive Council and various boards soon, emphasizing the need for a system overhaul. During a media briefing marking the state’s 37th anniversary, Eno highlighted that the commissioners, many of whom have served across multiple administrations, are aware of the necessity for change.
He assured that the dissolution would not come as a surprise and that a valedictory session would be held to honor their contributions before implementing the changes. Eno also discussed the benefits of a strong relationship with the Federal Government, particularly in enhancing security and securing support for state projects.
