Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has publicly urged Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike not to instigate political instability in Oyo. This appeal follows Wike’s threats to create turmoil in PDP-controlled states that support Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking at the Ijaw World Congress reception for Wike in Port Harcourt, Makinde emphasized the importance of peace, stating, “Please, don’t set fire in Oyo State.” He acknowledged Wike’s contributions to infrastructure during his tenure as Rivers governor, praising his achievements while encouraging unity among PDP governors.
