Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is scheduled to swear in the newly elected Chairmen of the 25 local government councils on Monday, July 15, 2024.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 10 am at the Event Centre in Asaba, as announced in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Protocol, Government House, Mr A.N. Tetsola.
The local government elections held on Saturday under the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission saw commendations for the security agencies, including the Delta State Police Command, DSS, and NSCDC, for ensuring a peaceful electoral process.
