Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, clarified that the House of Representatives did not direct him to revoke the airstrip license for Living Faith Church or any other private entities.
He stated that while a motion was made regarding airstrip licenses, it was referred to the Aviation Committee for further investigation. Keyamo emphasized that private airstrips operate under strict regulations, with the Federal Government overseeing air traffic through the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
He noted that private owners are responsible for constructing facilities, but operational control is handed over to NAMA, which manages air traffic and ensures compliance with flight plans.
