Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), recently shared a troubling example of corruption affecting Christians. He recounted how one of his spiritual daughters was asked to inflate a road construction contract from N3 million to N33 million. Despite being pressured, she refused to comply, citing her commitment to ethical behavior as a Christian.
Adeboye criticized the pervasive corruption in Nigeria, attributing it to a lack of moral integrity among Christians. He urged believers to uphold high standards and resist unethical practices.
He also shared another story about a different individual who was offered a contract to tar a road that had already been completed. Instead of reporting the mistake, the individual was pressured to accept the payment and participate in the corruption.
