Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former governor of Rivers State, has firmly stated that he will not leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) despite the party’s internal crises.
Speaking to journalists on August 21, 2024, to mark his first anniversary as FCT Minister, Wike dismissed rumors about a potential defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He emphasized his commitment to the PDP and his readiness to fight for his principles, even if it means standing alone.
