INTERPOL has summoned Ibadan-based broadcaster Peter Olasupo to its headquarters in Abuja for an investigation into allegations of criminal defamation and cyberstalking.
Olasupo, who confirmed the invitation through a Facebook statement, was initially scheduled to report on December 30, 2024, but his appearance has been rescheduled to January 13, 2025, after legal representation was arranged.
In his statement, Olasupo expressed confusion over the allegations, questioning why he was summoned to Abuja instead of a local office in Ibadan or Lagos, and raising concerns about the financial and logistical challenges involved. He assured his supporters that he remains committed to professionalism and truth.
