The Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has set January 13, 2025, to rule on the bail applications of Naomi Silekunola, the ex-Queen of the Ooni of Ife, Oriyomi Hazmat, and Abdullahi Fasasi.
These individuals were arrested following a tragic stampede in December 2024, during which over 35 people lost their lives while attempting to get food in Ibadan.
Naomi, Hazmat (the owner of Agidigbo FM), and Fasasi (the Principal of Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan) have been in detention at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Agodi.
Their lawyers filed for bail, and after hearing the arguments, Justice K.B. Olawoyin adjourned the decision until January 13.
