In August 2024, the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) deported 61 foreign nationals as part of its efforts to combat irregular migration.
The deportation aligns with the NIS’s broader strategy to manage immigration issues.
The report also highlighted that the new Visa Policy facilitated the issuance of 8,352 Visas on Arrival during the same period. This recent action follows a history of deportations, with the NIS having deported 70 foreigners between 2020 and 2022.
