As Nigeria marks its 64th independence anniversary, Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from the recent Edo State governorship election, has called on the judiciary to uphold its integrity and address electoral irregularities. In his Independence Day message, Ighodalo emphasized the importance of impartiality in the judiciary, describing the recent elections as the most significant electoral fraud since 1999.
He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast despite ongoing challenges, highlighting that the struggle for a fair and just society continues. Ighodalo expressed hope that, through unity and resilience, the aspirations for a better Nigeria can be achieved, reinforcing the commitment to democracy and collective progress.
