The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reported that 90.33% of the results from the Edo governorship election have been uploaded to the Results Viewing Portal (IReV). This accounts for 4,082 out of 4,519 polling units, leaving 437 polling units yet to report.
Resident Electoral Commissioner Anugbum Onuoha confirmed that the electronic transmission process was on track, with trained operators ready to utilize the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) for both voter accreditation and result uploading.
Candidates from the Peoples Democratic Party, All Progressives Congress, Labour Party, and others are competing for votes among 2.2 million registered voters across 18 local government areas in Edo State.
