The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a statement in response to former Nigerian military leader General Yakubu Gowon, accusing him of overseeing the massacre of the Igbo
people during the Nigerian Civil War. IPOB’s founders highlighted historical grievances and called for accountability regarding the violence and suffering experienced by the Igbo during the conflict.
They emphasized the need for recognition and justice for the victims of the atrocities committed during that period.
