Newsie Events:-
The news that the Kaduna Born actress, Rahama Sadau was arrested and charged with blasphemy has been described as false and the handiwork of stereotyped artists.
A man identified as Gimba Kakanda, with Twitter handle @gimbakakanda declared the information as false.
He said that according to the family of Rahma Sadau, she is fine and not in any trouble.
Kakanda explained that the actress is not liable for blasphemy in any way or sense but rather, she is the victim.
He tweeted; “Rahama Sadau was not sentenced for blasphemy. She’s also not arrested. She’s not liable for blasphemy in any way or sense.
She’s the victim here and she’s fine and not in trouble, according to her family. Let’s do our best to make sure this isn’t hijacked by stereotype artists.”
Recall there was a news report that the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Muhammed had given orders for Rahama Sadau to be investigated after a petition was sent to his office by one Mallam Lawal Gusua who accused the actress of indecent exposure of her body in her dressing which was posted online.
Kakanda said there was nothing like arrest or any charge for blasphemy. Some people have also blamed the police for the way they handled the issue which gave rise to different stories flying around.
Others also blamed the actress for the video she made apologising which showed her as being weak and conceding to doing wrong.
NB:- Newsie Events reported that she could face death sentence if convicted for blasphemy, which was the trending story as at the time. We therefore regret the news publication. We hope she could speak herself on the issue and others . These are sure ways to stop ‘stereotype artists’ from hijacking the story.
