The Kwara State Government has warned against the illegal collection of a N1,500 registration fee for the P-BAT women empowerment programme in Baruten Local Government Area. Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Opeyemi Oluwakemi Afolashade, stated that the programme, which aims to support vulnerable women, is intended to be free of charge.
She emphasized that neither individuals, organizations, nor banks are authorized to collect fees, and any unauthorized fee collection will be dealt with severely. The public is encouraged to report any such incidents to the Ministry of Women Affairs.
