The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has appointed six individuals as its first Deputy Clerks, who will also serve as Permanent Secretaries. The Speaker, Mr. Danladi Jatau, emphasized the importance of discipline and effective service from the new appointees, assuring them of improved welfare conditions. The appointments are part of the implementation of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Service Commission Re-enactment Law 2023, which requires at least seven such positions. The Deputy Clerks will have similar status and conditions as other Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service. The appointees are:
- Ibraheem Musa – Legislative Services
- Alkali Haruna – Finance and Accounts
- Barrister Obiri Uji – Legal Services
- Hadiza Musa Bako – Administration and Supplies
- Mrs. Rosia Kumbugu – Publications and Information
- Mr. Owens Kpadji – Planning, Research, and Statistics
