Ndigbo tussle, secretary general describe letter from port Harcourt as inappropriate.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has addressed and refuted claims of a leadership struggle within the group following the death of its President-General, Iwuanyanwu.

According to Alex Ogbonnia, the National Publicity Secretary, the group’s National Executive Committee is effectively managing the organization’s affairs.

He emphasized that there is no current leadership dispute and criticized the idea of appointing a new leader based on a letter from Rivers State as inappropriate, especially while arrangements for Iwuanyanwu’s burial are still pending. Ogbonnia clarified that no official communication regarding the replacement of the late Deputy President, Joel Kroham, has been presented to the NEC.
