…Says Buhari will be held responsible if anything happens to Bishop Kukah
By Newsie:-
President Buhari has been warned by the Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA to not make any attempt of arresting the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Kukah over his Christmas message on the state of the nation as he would be held responsible if anything happens to the Bishop.
The Church’s General Secretary, Rev. Yunusa Nmadu Jnr stated this while reacting to the call for Kukah’s arrest by the Arewa Youths.
Shettima Yerima, the National President of AYCF, Arewa Youths Consultative Forum, had called for the arrest and prosecution of Kukah, describing his Christmas message where he said that Buhari is very nepotistic in his style of leadership in the country as a treasonable felony.
But, Nmadu, ECWA’s scribe said that what Bishop Kukah said was the mind of Nigerians. He described the call for his arrest as a joke.
According to him: “Some of the uncharitable groups have even called for the arrest of our revered Bishop. Arrest a man that spoke the minds of millions of Nigerian? They must be joking.
“The Bishop has spoken our minds, and we will resist any attempt by any group or agency of Government to harm him. Enough of this intimidation.
“This style of governance to silent dissent voices by the Major General Muhammadu Buhari led administration is unacceptable and must be resisted.
“We invite the international community and Nigerians to hold General Buhari and his government responsible should anything happen to Bishop Kukah.”
Nmadu maintained that the Buhari led administration is on the highest level of nepotism and called on the government to start addressing some of the concerns raised by Bishop Kukah.
“As a matter of fact, Nepotism under General Buhari administration is topnotch. This administration has a first-class in nepotism and maladministration.
“The Federal Government must immediately take steps towards addressing those concerns raised by Bishop Kukah, rather than sponsoring fake groups to attack the revered Bishop,” he said.
