NGGG Set To Bestow Good Governance Awards On Deserving Personalities

The Good Governance Advocacy Group (NGGG) Akwa Ibom State Council under the administration of Dr. Anietie Ekpenyong has officially announced their preparation to bestow “GOOD GOVERNANCE” awards to respective dignitaries in public offices who have distinguished themselves from crowd by choosing the path of “good governance” in their official dealings.

In an enlarged meeting presided over by the state Chairman Dr. Anietie Ekpenyong and the South-south Chairman Deacon Emmanuel Owokere, drawn conclusion for the planning and implementation of the year 2022 Good Governance week in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

According to the state Chairman, the one week event will feature many programs including, Good Governance Award to deserving public office holders who have contributed positively to the growth of the state in their various capacities, Good Governance Colloquium, Unveiling of the Good Governance Magazine (maiden edition), Visitation to government project sites, Public awareness and sensitization campaign for 2023 elections; and many other programs of public interest.

The committee headed by Engr. Emmanuel Polycarp, Comrade Divine Sam and Dr. Nsisong Ekong are assigned to unfold the potency of the award ceremony, implementation of 2022 agenda and initiation of new members across the 31 Local Government Areas of the state.

The decision making congress was well attended by both the state and local government executive members, the South-south zonal Chairman, DCN. Emmanuel Owokere, Ambassador Charles Udoma and many others.

With all hands on deck, “good governance” will become a non negotiable ingredient in the public service delivery.
