Nigerian army dismiss rumors of mass resignation of soldiers.

The Nigerian Army has dismissed reports of mass resignations among its soldiers, which alleged that corruption and low morale were driving soldiers to leave the service.

Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, labeled these claims as unfounded and misleading. He emphasized that the Nigerian Army, like other military organizations, allows for voluntary disengagement, which is managed through established procedures to ensure proper processing of entitlements.

The statement also affirmed that soldier morale is high, with the Army’s welfare being a key focus under the leadership of Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
