Nigerian baptist convention charge public office holders to eradicate economic hardship.

The Nigerian Baptist Convention has urged public office holders to prioritize the welfare of citizens, particularly during these challenging times in Nigeria.

Dr. Soye Asawo, the national president of the Men’s Missionary Union (MMU) of the Convention, emphasized this during a visit to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in Asaba.

Asawo highlighted the theme of this year’s convention, “Wonders Without Numbers,” which underscores God’s power to achieve the seemingly impossible.

Governor Oborevwori praised the MMU for selecting Asaba as the host city for their 44th convention and affirmed the state’s commitment to peace and prayer.

He noted that the state government maintains a tradition of hosting a Praise and Prayer Day on May 29th each year, contributing to Delta’s tranquility and progress, supported by ongoing prayers from religious leaders.
