Aloy Ejimakor, the lead counsel for Nnamdi Kanu, has criticized President Bola Tinubu for allegedly perpetuating the perceived mistreatment of the Igbo people that he claims began under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ejimakor argues that Kanu’s ongoing imprisonment is a significant affront to the Igbo community. Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was apprehended in Kenya in June 2021 and extradited to Nigeria during Buhari’s tenure.
His trial has continued under Tinubu’s administration, with various stakeholders advocating for a political resolution.
