The National Assembly has postponed the transmission of the Minimum Wage Bill to President Bola Tinubu, now expected by Monday.
Although the bill was approved by both the Senate and House of Representatives earlier in the week, the delay is attributed to unfinished details on the related N6.2 trillion 2024 Appropriation Bill and Finance Bill.
The Assembly’s leadership plans to deliver all related bills to the president in person. The bill aims to increase the minimum wage from N30,000 to N70,000 and shorten the review period from five to three years.
