The Akobo Lions Club has installed an academic expert, Lion Adeboye Abosede Jumoke NLCF, RLLI, as its 6th and 1st female president Akobo Integrity Lions Club, Ibadan.
The installation was held during the Investiture and Fund Raising Ceremony held at providence area, hotel and suit, Joseph Ayoade avenue providence arena bus stop Akala way Akobo Ibadan.
Lion Adeboye Jumoke is the 1st female president Akobo Integrity Lions, and this is historical.
Other officers are Toyeshe Lawal (First Vice President), Caleb Fagade (Second Vice President), Oluwole Oyelade (Secretary), Engr. Kunle Olaogun(Asst. Secretary), Adegoke Williams (Treasurer), Afolasade Afolayanka (project director ) Akangbe Thomas Olutoye(diaspora coordinator) Olusola Ojetokun (tail twister) Badmus Toye Arowolo(membership director) Akinsawe Folashade (tamer/welfare officer) and Dayo Laniyan (marketing director)
District Governor 404B4 Lion Samson Abodunrin, PMJF, NLCF, FCE urged the new officers to uphold the spirit of Lionism and make a meaningful impact in the lives of the poor.
The district governor ably represented by the 2nd vice District governor Lion Adebowale Afolayan, MJF, NLCF who presented a written addressed by the district governor, congratulated the 6th president and her team, stressing that the position is for the new administration to stay alert and takes responsibility to work extra hard to lay foundations of service that your successors in office are going to build on.

As you carry out service activities mainly being feeding the hungry, diabetes awareness and screening, vision, caring for the environment and pediatric cancer remember to report these activities on mylcid ”
“Be an active part of mission 1.5, encourage every member to bring at least one new quality member. Be an advocate for LCIF and request your club members to subscribe towards MJF and PMJF. Endeavour to ensure that your club participates fully in all district activities at all levels”

Also speaking the chairman of the investiture committee, Lion Sarafadeen Toyeshe Lawal, stressed that the investiture ceremony was significant moment counting the milestone of her resilience and dedication on her fulfilled journey to climb the edge of the lions club. ” her dedication, commitment, and unwavering passion have earned her the esteemed position of President and we are confident that she will lead with integrity and excel in her role.
Today’s investiture is not only a celebration of Lion Abosede Jumoke investiture as 1st female president Akobo Integrity Lions Club and 6th president of this organisation but also an acknowledgement of our club’s collective efforts. Each and every member of the Akobo integrity club plays an integral role in our success.
In his remark, the immediate past president, Lion (Prince) Gbolahan Akinbola recalled that he was installed as 5th president about a year ago and since then has been been working assiduously with the collective support of his team members and other Lion leaders to take the club to another dimension.
Lion Gbolahan said the club under his administration was committed simultaneously to the progress and melioration of the society and as equally embarked on numerous projects to satisfied the core Mandate of the organisation. He said ” my tenure of office ensure that the signature project of construction of a block of 3 classroom at Sts. David primary school, Abidi – odan area ( lagelu local government), Akobo ibadan was successfully roofed as earlier as planned, I started the project during my investiture as the 5th president” I wish the incoming president a prosperous tenure of office and I strongly believe my fellow club members will give the new president Lion Adeboye Abosede Jumoke led executive members maximum support for them to forge ahead”
A citation of the newly investiture president Lion Adeboye Jumoke revealed she started her lionism at Tai solarin University of Education where she joined the tasued campus leo club and was a charter member in the year 2005.
Lion Jumoke also joined bodija jewels lions club shortly after graduation and she was fervently mentored by lion Adekunle Durodola NLCF in 2011. She later joined Akobo integrity lion’s Club in 2018 and has been a very committed and active in various departments and committees at the club level, region and district respectively.
She has bagged series of awards from the organis
ation and has also enrolled in various certificates programmes in the district.
In a good real message by one of the renounce and prominent leaders of the club zone B Chairperson region 9, district 404B4, Chief David Akinwale extolled the determination quality and hospitality of the club towards bearing the many burdens of the society.
Chief David Kehinde Akinwale who is the CEO, providence Group of companies and recently was endowed with the chieftaincy title of Outn Baale Akobo ojurin Community while congratulating the Emergence of Lion Adeboye Abosede Jumoke as the 6th and 1st female president Akobo Integrity Lions Club and pour encoumiums on the superlative performance of the immediate past president of the club. He prayed for team spirit among members of Adebayo’s led administration.
Also speaking speaking as part of goodwill messages another leader of the club Lion Badmus Toye Arowolo NLCF, reiterated the need for the lions to continue supporting humanity which is the core mandate of the organisation.
Lion Badmus in his goodwill message, shower praises on the achievements of the immediate past administration and hope that the newly installed leadership led by the 1st female and 6th president Akobo Integrity Lions Club Lion, will imitate the footprint of her immediate past predicessor.
In his lecture, the guest lecturer Lion Dr. Jide Bello PMJF commended the effort of Akobo integrity lion’s Club for their Uninterrupted commitment towards striving to educates the society positively on various projects embedded by the club.
Dr. Jide who was represented by Lion Asiwaju Ibrahim Mohammed, called on the new administration to continue with the footsteps of their immediate past predicessor.
Speaking on the topic, “benefits of service” lion Ibrahim called on members of the Akobo integrity club not to relent effort in rendering humanitarian services being the most important duties of the organisation.
Other leaders of the club who poured goodwill messages and congratulated the new president and her team, Lion Adeyemo Emmanuel Adedokun, Chairperson childhood cancer awareness campaign, Lion Toyin Oladapo and many others.
Speaking also in the same vein, the state Chairman of the Nigerian Union of teachers, Oyo State Wing Comrade Raji Oladimeji Ismail, congratulated the new president for her zealousness, determination and willingness to serve the club and humanity by extension.
The NUT state chairman Comrade Ismail, while pouring accolades for her member to emerge the 1st female president Akobo Integrity Lions Club also commended the association for entrusting a teacher to anchor the affairs of the club for the new administration.
In her acceptance speech, the newly investiture president Lion Adeboye Jumoke NLCF, humbly accepted the calling to serve the club and humanity and continued with the team spirit which has already started.
” on behalf of the board of directors and executives of our club, I humbly accept to serve our dear club and humanity, as we continue in the team spirit which we have started with the year mission statement of the club which is team work makes the dream work”
She said Akobo integrity club signatory project which is a block of three classroom which is already at the finishing stage.
She appreciate the district governor and all the district executives, the region and it executives for finding her worthy to mand the affairs of the organisation for the next couple of one year. She assure to take the organisation to another dimension in a paragim shift.
