As the local government elections in Ogun State approach on November 16, Babatunde Osibodu, Chairman of the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC), assured political parties of fair and equal opportunities during the polls.
In a recent media engagement, Osibodu emphasized that the commission is committed to a credible and transparent election process.
He highlighted ongoing efforts to engage with political parties, monitor primaries, and ensure timely delivery of voting materials. The commission is collaborating with various stakeholders, including the House of Assembly, civil society organizations, and security agencies, to ensure a smooth and secure election.
Osibodu also cautioned against any attempts to disrupt the electoral process, warning that those involved would face legal consequences.
