Senator Oluremi Tinubu has donated N40 million and food items to the victims of a tanker explosion in Majiya village, Jigawa State. The donation was presented by Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abbass, Wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, to the Wife of the State Governor, Hadiza Umar Namadi, at the Government House in Dutse.
In her message, Tinubu expressed deep concern for the victims and assured ongoing support and prayers. Governor Mallam Umar Namadi acknowledged the donation, promising it would be used effectively to assist those affected. He also reported that some victims are improving under medical care. The incident, which resulted in 181 deaths and many more injured, was described by the governor’s wife as a tragic event, highlighting the First Lady’s gesture as a sign of solidarity and compassion. The delegation had previously visited victims receiving treatment at Rasheed Shekoni Federal University Teaching Hospital.
