Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State recently met with his predecessor, Akinwunmi Ambode, to discuss the future of the state and to build upon existing developments.
Sanwo-Olu shared on his X page that their conversation focused on ensuring Lagos continues its growth trajectory. Although Ambode lost his reelection bid to Sanwo-Olu in 2019 and faced a contentious APC primary, they reconciled in 2023.
This recent meeting marks a significant moment of unity among Lagos’s former governors, including Babatunde Fashola, who had also been absent from the political scene due to internal party conflicts.
