Senator Kelvin Chukwu of Enugu East has denied reports circulating on social media that he has defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP). The news, which was accompanied by a letter claiming his resignation from the LP, was swiftly debunked by the Senator.
In a statement issued by his Chief of Staff, the report was described as a deliberate misinformation attempt, and the signature on the resignation letter was said to have been forged.
