Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has called for President Bola Tinubu’s immediate intervention in the escalating political crisis in Rivers State. She highlighted the feud between FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalaya Fubara, emphasizing that it threatens the welfare of Rivers citizens and could destabilize the region further.

In her statement, she urged Tinubu to ensure that Wike remains focused on his responsibilities and to allow Governor Fubara to govern according to the Constitution. She noted the ongoing violence, intimidation, and alleged electoral malpractices, stressing the need for urgent action to protect innocent lives and maintain peace.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan warned that if the situation is not addressed promptly, it could undermine Nigeria’s democratic progress and pose significant risks to national security.
