Senator Shehu Umar has voiced his surprise at the Bauchi Emirate’s decision to withdraw his chieftaincy title of “Mujaddadin” Bauchi.
The Emirate’s action reportedly stems from allegations that Umar insulted Governor Bala Mohammed during a recent political rally.
Umar contends that his comments were intended as constructive criticism in response to what he perceived as attempts to undermine President Bola Tinubu’s reputation.
He emphasized that he had not used abusive language but aimed to defend the President from what he saw as defamatory remarks by the Governor.
