Sport: Akwa united get new head coach Knnedy Boboye

Kennedy Boboye has officially rejoined Akwa United as their head coach for a second stint, signing a short-term contract that will last for the remainder of the season.

The agreement was finalized at the club’s secretariat in Uyo on Monday. Boboye, a former Nigeria international, initially joined Akwa United during the 2019-2020 NPFL season and went on to lead the team to win the NPFL title in the 2020-2021 season. This victory marked his second NPFL title, after previously guiding Plateau United to the championship in 2017. Boboye is set to begin his duties with the team later this week.
