Dr. Abdul-Jhalil Tafawa Balewa has advised President Bola Tinubu to cut down on the number of ministers and streamline the cost of governance in Nigeria.
Addressing journalists in Lagos, Tafawa-Balewa suggested that reducing the number of ministries, currently at around 48, could free up resources for development.
He also recommended that Tinubu appoint technocrats to manage the ministries effectively and improve the country’s security situation to boost agricultural production.
Tafawa-Balewa emphasized the need for enhanced security to enable farmers to work and increase food production.
