Nigeria’s new presidential jet, an Airbus A330 valued at N150 billion, has landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
The arrival comes as President Tinubu is set to travel to France. The acquisition has faced scrutiny due to its high cost amid Nigeria’s economic issues, but the government argues it is essential for diplomacy and national security.
The jet, formerly owned by a German bank and repossessed from an Arab prince, was released to Nigeria as a goodwill gesture by a Chinese firm after legal disputes. The aircraft includes luxury amenities such as a bedroom, office, conference room, and various seating options.
