President Bola Tinubu has appointed Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the 23rd Chief Justice of Nigeria. Kekere-Ekun took the oath of office on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Council Chamber of the State House in Abuja.
Her appointment is subject to confirmation by the Senate. She succeeds Olukayode Ariwoola, who retired upon reaching the age of 70.
