Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi has commented on his relationship with current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, stating that Wike “passed through” him during his time as governor when Wike served as his Chief of Staff. In an interview with Ebere TV, Amaechi emphasized that he doesn’t like mentioning Wike’s name and claimed that most Rivers politicians have been influenced by him.
Reflecting on his early political experiences, Amaechi recounted the divide between two political camps in Rivers, highlighting his commitment to character over wealth. He noted that despite the challenges, they succeeded in politics due to their principles. He stressed that honesty is a crucial lesson for anyone who has worked under him.
