The 84-year-old widow, Mrs. Rita Lori Ogbebor, expressed her deep frustration over a land dispute in Abuja and declared that she would rather die than appeal to President Bola Tinubu or the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
She claimed that Wike was just 14 years old when her late husband, Col. Paul Ogbebor, contributed to the development of Abuja and worked on the disputed land.
Now, after 42 years, she alleges that Wike intends to demolish the estate and hand the land to someone named Chinda. Mrs. Ogbebor stated that she would never beg for intervention but hopes that others who know her can appeal to the President on her behalf.
The dispute has drawn national attention, with the Senate instructing Wike to halt demolitions until the issue is resolved. Despite this, Wike has insisted on continuing the demolition to address land grabbing in the area.
