” Party supremacy & Grassroots Mobilisation” is the theme for the Friday’s South-south zonal stakeholders meeting/Dinner of the young progressive party.
The Caucus of the party in South-south will be meeting in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital on Friday 21st, 2020 at Amity Hotel, Gline Ewet Housing Estate Uyo to harmonize the position of working to mobilising the people at the Grassroots level on issues pertaining to the future Elections.
Speaking in a closed-door meeting with the NEWSIEEVENTS, the state Chairman of the party in Akwa Ibom and the Chief host Comrade Kelvin Ubong Umoh explained that the meeting is to enhance the zone to have strategic and have a specific area of concentration as we cannot set up an agenda for people without enlightening them.
Comrade Umoh said the vision of the party is to set up a pace for others to follow, hence the zonal conference needs to put their Arsenal in place, the direction it is going, and why the direction is chosen.
Kelvin noted that as a Progressive party there is need to attend to the challenges of the people at the Grassroots level getting to know their major problems and as a party helps to iron out some issues, he said the zonal conference is going to be a very good deliberation, very fantastic and will be attended by all the state chairmen under the umbrella of the zone, as well as delegates from state under the zone.
The Akwa Ibom Chairman said the Young Progressive party is at a zero tolerance on politicians who feels the party is a platform to be scamming the masses once they grab the tickets without proper direction working towards their manifestos, we cannot afford to play those politics again, he said.
NEWSIEEVENTS learnt that the party zonal conference will resolve the crisis rocking in the Grassroots among the states under the zone, the party has agreed that the meeting and the dinner will handle the high level of mental block by members of the Grassroots against a political party.
however, the conference is going to be an interesting one and the position of the Grassroots members in the zone would be made known when we get to the bridge, we will cross it in 2023.
The young Progressive is a political party on a mission. Discussing anything outside that affects the people at the Grassroots.
He expressed hope that the zonal conference will experience the best deliberation that will salvage the people at the Grassroots level out of the oppression of the present administration.
