The movement for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra MASSOB has told Igbos to forget about producing the next Nigeria’s president. According to MASSOB, it is impossible for anyone of Igbo descent to win the elections.
MASSOB director of information Sunday Okereafor, in a chat with Punch correspondent, says the mathematics of politics have never favoured the Igbo people since the end of the Civil War.
He listed the likes of Chuba Okadigbo, Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, and Alex Ekwueme as those who tried to attain the height of the presidency but failed due to some political forces beyond them.
He insisted that Igbos should not bother fueling any presidential ambition in 2023 because it would fail. He said the gang up against the Igbos have existed for over 50 years thus making it impossible for any Igbo man to ascend the position.
He added that the wooing of Igbos with the presidency was a ploy to dissuade them from fighting for an independent state of Biafra. This, according to him would not work as the Igbos remain resolute in fighting for their right.
