The former Governor of Bayelsa state and Minister of state Petroleum Chief Timipre Sylva, also a member and leader of the Bayelsa APC have broken his silence after his Governorship candidate was sacked by the supreme court Verdict.
The state minister of petroleum on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, said there’s nothing that cannot be solved, irrespective of the fact that Court orders are reverted.
He said Hnr Henry Seriake Dickson the immediate ex-Governor should not rejoice yet because his boy is sworn in, he rather should watch out for a strike and justification of the matter.
In his words “it is not over until it is over, the court decision is unfair and we have also called for a review, the court must make us see reasons why the APC candidate should be sacked because of his deputy’s misconduct”.
The minister also appeals and encouraged the Bayelsa All Progressive Congress to have faith, and urge all Bayelsans to stay calm, peaceful and shun crime. He assured the APC and President Muhammad Bihari of the stance of the APC in Bayelsa saying the Party remains strong notwithstanding the temporary setback.
According to a cleric and close ally to the minister, the minister is a very optimistic Man.
Chief Timipre Sylva who was reacting base on the assumption of the hilltop mansion office by the PDP candidate Senator Douye Diri about four days ago as Governor of Bayelsa State.
Timipre said, however, the scenario occurred due to the fact that winner of the election and candidate of the APC was sacked and disqualified by a biased Supreme Court Judgement a day to his inauguration.
