LET THERE BE LIGHT! 1 John 5 vs 20: And we know that the Son of God is come, and he hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
The drive of our spirituality is knowledge. Our knowledge should take us to a place where we know Christ Jesus as the Son of God. Whenever the Son comes to us, he comes to us with an understanding of how sons and daughters are made in the kingdom of God.
Coming to know the mystery behind Jesus Christ as the Son of God helps us to key into the understanding that he has brought to us. This understanding is what helps us to comprehend how God has designed to fulfill His eternal purpose for man.
This same understanding is what differentiates us from all religions on earth and this same understanding helps to separate and preserve the people of God in this our present world. This understanding does not make us be religious but it makes us be truly spiritual.
We should stop to see Christianity as a religion rather we should see it as a way of life.
The understanding is communicated to us in degrees at different levels as we grow in the faith of the Son. As we grow, we have to obey the instructions that follow every understanding we have at the level we are so that we may know him that is true. This knowledge of truth is designed for something.
John 8 vs 32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
The function of the truth is to make us free. Not just free from all our natural enemies and oppression but also to make us free from all principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places and also to make us free from the nature of sin in man.
By the time we come to the knowledge of him that is true, we gain entrance into him and even into his Son.
