It was another moment of celebration for the children of Victory Garden Estate in Ibadan, Oyo state capital as the management team of the estate rollout drums to celebrate the children as part of the activities marking children’s day celebration on May 27,2024.
The children who trooped in massively with the parents and guardians to attend the throw up party also participated in various academic and social activities.
Speaking with newsieevents during the ceremony the chairman of the estate, Pastor Omotade Olufemi harps on good morals, enjoins parents to live up to their responsibilities.
Pst. Olufemi called on parents not relent efforts to make conducive arrangements for their children to pursue and realise their goals in life.
He explained further that parents should shoulder absolute commitment to the welfare and upbringing of their wards irrespective of the economic crisis in the country.
Olufemi advised parents and guardians not to also fail in their responsibilities to train their wards to pursue and uphold right morals that would make their children worthy ambassadors of themselves, the family and society at large.
He said ” looking at the background, some children already getting worse everyday because of lack of social and family values, and this is the sole responsibility of every responsible parents and guidance to put hands let train these children, plant in them the moral values that will be productive and useful to the society
Some youths have gone astray looking for fastest means of making money, Yahoo and all forms of illicit and vice versa. These sect of youths were once children but because they were not raise well , some finishing touches not done that’s why you see them perpetuating the act of waywardness.
I feel if we can catch these ones while they are still young, there will be reduction of crimes in the nearest future and the world will be a better place”
He prayed for strength, courage and enablement on parents to imbibe good moral values on their kids for the betterment of the society.
Interestingly, the party feature quizzes competition rating from junior to senior classes, debate, games, dance floor, cutting of cake, certification and price winning awards etc to mark the 2024 children’s day celebration in a grand style.
