Idris Bande has taken over as the new Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Adamawa State. He was officially welcomed at the state command headquarters in Yola by officials and personnel on Thursday.
Bande, who was previously at the Zone B Headquarters in Kaduna, succeeds Ibrahim Mainasara, who served as the state commandant for 1 year and 3 months.
During the handover, Mainasara urged full support for Bande to ensure a smooth transition. Bande expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and vowed to build on his predecessor’s successes, focusing on enhancing national security and benefiting the people of Adamawa.
